Gradation quilt

Last August I told you about quilting in Santiago
in the meantime this quilt is finished

The inspiration for this quilt comes from the hills that surrounds Santiago
at the foot of the Andes mountains
the hemp yarns stitched on top give an extra effect on
the gradation from dark to light

This project is pieced and appliqued by machine
and quilted by hand in flowing lines

Omdat in Chili weinig keuze is in Vlieseline of andere verstevigende materialen

Because the choise of Vlieseline is limited, I used a rather thick version to enforce the top and the result is a bit rigid

I want to make another one and this time with Mistyfuse to enforce the top
2 quilts next to each other so the landscape will blend...

 Groetjes, Hilde
