Buying African fabrics at Makola Market in Accra

Today I take you with me to one of the best fabric shops at Makola Market in Accra: Pakbess. Here you will find the latest designs of Vlisco/GTP fabrics. (GTP is the Ghana Textile Printing factory of Vlisco) Outside on the street you will find many other prints but they are almost all copies from China. Taking pictures on the street is not fun at all as most people can get angry when doing so. That's why I show you only the pictures I took at Pakbess' fabric shop.

Floor space is not more than 4x4 meters!

Welke stof zou jij kiezen?
Which fabric would you choose?

Calculating the price for my new stash

These are my new additions to my African fabric stash! It is always hard to make a selection.
Some of these are 4 yards long and others 6 yards. They won't cut smaller pieces from this quality fabric ;)

So called White Fabric with populair designs

Toen we klaar waren kregen we deze kalender in onze handen gedrukt.
When we left the shop we received this calendar.

  5. Oh, I wish we could buy fabric like this in the USA. If you ever set up shop to make these fabrics available to us, it would be a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing your photos and video. The fabric is amazing.
